Well...here we go!...I am in the early stages of trying to get WLS...this will be my third and last attempt..so lets hope all goes well!...About 3 years ago, after I had my first child, my Dr. introduced me to the idea of having WLS. I have always been a little over weight, but in 2004, my father passed away and depression took over, leaving me at the heaviest I had ever been so I tried every fad diet out there, from weight watchers to atkins...even the cabbage soup diet! And everytime i would lose maybe 20-25lbs and gain 10 back. So after getting a TON of info about WLS i decided it was what i wanted. I knew it would be hard, but i also knew it would be worth it. So after months of Dr. appointments, psyc evaluations and meetings with nutrionists I was ready..or so i thought. I received a letter from my Doctors office, and was so disapointed when i was told i was denied by my insurance...until the next day when i found out I was pregnant with my son! So after I had my son, and had new insurance...i decided to try again, but to only be disapointed again when I found out my employer didnt cover WLS on our insurance plan! Well, here I am 6 months later, on my husbands insurance, which DOES cover it! So im crossing all 10 fingers and toes that this will be it!!!
