"After having my consultation, I must say that Dr. Carrasquilla is absolutely wonderful! His office staff was really friendly as well. I could not have picked a better surgeon. His accent is kind of hard to understand at first, but it gets easier the more you talk to him. He is very kind, patient, and thorough. Not only that, but he has a great sense of humor and it is obvious that he truly cares about each and every one of his patients. He was showing me before and after pics in albums of many different people he performed the surgery on and he remembered most of them by name. He was even telling me what they are up to now and how they are doing. I have never met a doctor as sympathetic and down to earth as he is. I had written down a whole sheet worth of questions and he spent as much time as was needed to go over each one. I never once felt rushed, and when he had me go to his office, I was extremely impressed with the seven walls full of plaques, awards, and degrees that he has earned over his 30+ years of doing WLS. He has never had a fatality and he has never had anyone come back with leakage problems. He created this type procedure and he flies all over the US teaching others how to do it (including Mayo Clinic). He is just phenomenal! "
