Well I survived and now i am on my way to success. I had lost 16 pounds before surgery and that was an awesome feeling, since i was starving for a week. Now here it is 3 days since surgery and i am now down 21 pounds. I gained a few pounds but i think that was all water and gas and since that is all gone it shows that i lost again. So I am still on clear liquids until thursday and then we will see what the Dr says.

well it is after midnight and all liquids are done now until after surgery. I have to be at the hospital at 8:30am. i am so excited, i have had so many people asking me if i am nervous but what is there to be nervous about. I have been wanting this for so long and i am so ready for this to finally be happening. I will post as soon as i can.

Well I am down 16 pounds and tomorrow is the day. I am so nervous, but yet excited. This is what i have been wanting for many years. I cant believe it is going to happen. I will post as soon as i can.

Ok, well first day done. It was kinda rough but i made it through. I did my measurements and weighed in with my scale here at home. It was 2 pounds lighter than the dr office. So I did all my pre testing today. I am very excited. Thursday cant get here fast enough.

It is just after midnight on December 23, 2010. We went out to eat with most of the kids. We just got back from a mega food 8 day cruise. I am so ready for this. I have actually been excited about this day. I will spend the day at the hospital tomorrow for all pre op testing. I will keep blogging daily for a while.

Last week, the day before Thanksgiving, I got a call from the Dr office and they said that they called my insurance company and they said that No they dont cover the surgery. I was very upset because before I started this journey I had called twice to make sure it would be. So I took over the pages from my book that stated that yes it is a cover procedure. I got a call yesterday 12/1/10 and was told yes it is covered and I was APPROVED. I am so excited. The date is set for December 30, 2010. What a way to start the New Year with a start of a new me. Thank God and Anthem. I have wanted this for so many years. This is so great. I am going on a cruise and will be back 12/21/10. I start my liquid diet 12/23/10 and surgery 12/30/10.

I met with my surgeon on Wednesday 11/3/10 and he said everything looks good for me to have the band. I am so excited. I am going to try for the last week of December or the first week of January. Dont have a definate date yet. But i will.

i went to a weight loss seminar last night, they called me today and told me that my insurance would cover this surgery and all I need is to get a letter from my primary. That will be so easy. I told them I want to do it in January. No problem is what they said. I have my first consultation with Dr. Wagner on November 3, 2010. I am so excited, I have been wanting this for such a long time. I cannot wait. i will keep you posted, Please pray for me.
