I am a wife. Mother of 2 ages 24 and 21. Pet owner to one dog  and one 2 cats. Live in a small town in Georgia. I have a passion for shopping and love all things that electronic. I'm a  Big fan of American Idol,Days of our Lives,Big Medicine & CSI Miami & Ny.. I recently had gastric bypass surgery and am getting used to the new lifestyle and trying to overcome food addictions and years of poor eating choices. Prior to surgery, my highest weight was around 290lbs. I was on medication for high blood pressure. Deciding to have weight loss surgery was a pretty tough decision. If you were to ask me, I probably would have described myself as being a little overweight, but then I'd see a picture of myself and see that I was really overweight. I started to think about my health and my family and saw that my life was headed on a downward spiral. I started wondering if I'd be around to watch my kids grow and start their own families. I had surgery on August 27, 2007 and weighed in at 290lbs. I wore a size 26/28. I now weigh in at around 200lbs (Update! below 200lbs now!!) and wear a size 14/16. Some people think that gastric bypass is an easy way out and that I can just eat whatever and still lose weight and that is so not true. I have to monitor every single bite that I eat. Certain foods will make me very sick. I am working harder at this lifestyle than any diet I've ever been on and I can never quit. I can't take a day off and splurge. This is my life. I've set some goals for myself. I want off all my medications and I'd like to someday have a healthy BMI. I also hope that maybe some of my experiences can help other people and I hope to learn from all of you.
