I think I am going through the self-pitty stage. I am 3 weeks out and have lost 30 lbs., which is wonderful. I just miss my food, mostly fresh fruit. I am having trouble getting the protein and water. Some days are better than others. I have been back to work on a limited schedule. I can go for about 4 hours and then the belly begins to hurt, so I go home. I had about 1/4 hamburger and watermelon for dinner tonight. So I shouldn't complain too much. Talk more later.

I am finally home and feeling ok. I will post more later.

I will be wheeled into surgery the morning of Tuesday July 24th. I can't wait. I want to walk around without pain.

Well I completed my nutrition appointment. I just have the upper gi left. I meet with the surgeon on Thursday. I can't wait to see if I am good to go for the operation on the 24th of July. The waiting is killing me. I want to get the ball rolling and begin my new life

The doctor said I "would be a good candidate for WLS." All I have left to do is the sleep test, nutrition, and upper gi. On Wednesday  I am going to Erin, Tn for the sleep test, since they could give me an appointment this week. My nutrition appointment is the 3rd of July. The upper gi is scheduled for the 11th of July, but I call everday to see if they have a cancellation. I meet with the surgeon again on July 5th. I can't wait to get this train moving.

My first appointment with the surgeon on Ft. Campbell, to see if I qualify for the surgery, has been moved from July 11th to today. I am so nervous. What if they deny me? I meet the BMI of 35 and have numerous medical issues, but I am worried they won't accept the medical issues. So wish me luck and I will post when I get home.

Ben and I attended a seminar on WLS. It was very informative. My only question was concerning an injury to my spllen and pancreas when I was younger. The doctor said it should be fine as long as there isn't too much scar tissue. Even if there is scar tissue I would be able to have open RNY. I can't wait!

I have my first appointment with the surgical clinic on the 11th of July. My primary care manager thinks I am a good candidate due to all my medical problems. I have been getting larger every year despite exercising and eating pretty healthy.
