David Lavine
"Dr. Lavine is one of most hyper individuals I have ever met and one of the best plastic surgeons. He has taken me under his wing as a project of sorts. Casey his nurse is fantastic and so very sweet. I think she is the calm in his storm. My insurance does not cover the reconstruction so we will be paying for a while, but I think it is worth that not to be all flabby. I have had a tummy tuck, Breast aug/lift, arms, thighs, full body lift, outer thigh lipo and some revisions of some of the above. I hope I am done for now. I have lots of scaring now, but that is fading some. I have learned a lot about expectations and differences when you are a WLS person with plastics. Don't expect to look like a supermodel, but at least you won't have so much loose skin. I am very grateful for Dr. Lavine's work, compassion and excellent followup care. And I appreciate him being willing to do multiple stages at once with me. And if there is a way for things to go wiggie...I will find it. "

Dirk I Rodriguez
"Dr. Rodriguez is at Dallas Methodist. I checked out several of the Dallas area surgeons, but they were either not on my insurance or they had an over a year waiting list, or I was not comfortable with them. I needed to try to get this done prior to school starting the new year. I drove to Palestine to meet Dr. Rodriguez. I felt pretty good him and his group. Dr. Rod (as most call him) is a great surgeon and very compassionate. His team is pretty good too. Be sure to work with the dietary consultant. The office is still chaotic at times, but it is worth the confusion. You will really like and trust Dr. Rod if you go that route. I recommend you attend one of his orientations to decide for yourself. He is very blunt at times, but I like honesty. Aftercare is a major key. Look for a good program for you. We lost our Fort Worth support group. I hope we get a new one put together eventually. "

"The careflight noise is very bad. Some nurses were great and others made me wait for over an hour for pain meds. I loved that the hospital had private rooms."
