my story , wow it is hard to talk about yourself, i guess i ll start by talking when i started this jurney, i had started thinking about this surgery years ago just never had the funds to do it. I worked as a truck stop supervisor for years and always had back and hip pain but kept working after all i was a single parent of 4 teen children., and jan of 04 i had to have a hipp replaced from arthritus so i had that done and got back to work and still hurt i found out i have AS -ankysloing spiondelious(arthritus) rair form...so my DR. disabled me ..got SSI and i want to get back to work so tried losing weight to get in remision and that is HARD! had to go to a surgion was having probs with stomic he i have a hernia* and he said it would be a great idea to have RNY and my family dr kept telling me to join weight watchers and things like that so the surgion talked to family DR and he finaly after a year said ok ...so had to start all the testing and extra testing due to the fact i have a reversed stomic...(very rare) ...I am going to a DR hammad she is a tiny little thing and i have had so many surgerys on my stomic(looks like a road map) she said she is going to try to do the scope but with all the scar tissue she may have to open me up .... when i was working never went higher than 240lbs and after stoped working went to 285 lose few lbs in last few weeks but not much i am 5ft 7in every one said u are tall u carry your weight well u don't look that heavy but beleave me i feel 600 lbs the old joints tell me every day i am over weight and that is the bigest reason i am having this surgery to get my health back .......will add more later.......
