Well, its April and 8 weeks ago I had my Gastric Bypass. I have had to Dialation due to the opening in my intestine closing off and not allowing me to eat. And here I am two weeks after my last dialation still not better. I  see my surgeon tomorrow and it looks i will going under the knife again to remove a piece of intestine and reatach my stomach pouch. I just hope that this time it will work.

Well, i guess I am in that 1-5 % that has complications. After 4 weeks of  pain, not eating and hardly getting fluids in me my Surgeon did a endoscopy and found out that my opening to my intestine was almost all the way closed. No wonder I coudln't get food or fluids down and was feeling so bad. It's been a week since they dialated the opening and I am feelign so much better. Still having to get used to eating and drinking and doing it very very slowly or it hurts. I have regained some strenght and was able to go back to work finally. I am glad we finally figured out what was going on and fixed it. I just hope it stay that way and doesn't close up again. Have been losing weight, and am feeling good about it.

Here it is two weeks past my surgery and I am still home and  in recovery. I can't seem to feel better, I have nausea, everything I drink and eat sits in my stomach like a rock and hurts. I refuse to take pain meds since they don't help anything. I have tried warm ,cold, and room temperature but it seems to make no difference. I guess I will have to suck it up and deal with it until it gets better. I am supposed to have CT Scan to make sure I don't have a leak anywhere.  I seem to be one of those people that have all the ugly stuff everyone is talking about. But I know that there is light at the end of the tunnel and I won't give up. It make take me longer to recover but I have faith that I will get there.

Well, I am home again after having my RYN bypass. I am feeling okay, weak as expected but not to bad. Already got a little bit of broth in me and my vitamins. Hoping that it will all settle in and I won't have any problems.

Well, I have my date and I am ready to go through with it. My surgery for Gastric Bypass will be Feb 1, 2011.  
I am excited and anxious at the same time. I know this will be hard in the first few weeks, I mean getting used to
not eating as much and really being careful as to what I eat. But I am ready, I am so looking forward to be able to move around again and to participate in my Families life. With my Back pain it has been hard and I am praying that loosing the weight will improve it somewhat, even though I am very well aware that there are no guarantees for that.
