Very Frustrated March 4, 2007 8 mo. post-op

Well, the doctor was right when at the seminar he said he would be operating on our stomach and not our head! I am struggling since about November. I was on a real roll and just after Thanksgiving, I was down over 40 lbs. Now, I am only 36-37 pounds less than the day of surgery. I know that at one point in October or November I was 189. I am now 193-194. That is better than the 197 I went back up to in January.
I am also suffering with a ton of gas! The PA at my surgeon's office says it is from swallowing air, but I am so gassy internally that I can actually hear it rumbling around. Surgeon said to call my gastro. I have had no time to do that, but will have to this week since the gas build-up is causing it to escape anyway possible, which can be embarrissing.
I know I am my own worse enemy. I have not been eating well at all. I am eating anything I can get down. I have had some tooth trouble and the only spot I can chew comfortably went bad a few weeks ago. I finally got around to getting a root canal started. Now I can chew a little on one side, but the tooth on my left which was capped needs to be removed and an implant needs to be placed in. That will also make chewing impossible. I am eating lots of junk food! I need a good smack in the head!
Please let me get my act together again!

I turned 50 this month!

It is time to grow up and get it together. I hope that my fill this week will give me the aid that I need to fight off the head hunger.
