Cheryl, I to have a "friend" that is also not to supportive. I mean she will tell me things that she has heard from others about the surgery. Nothing educated. I have researched this surgery until I was blue in the face. I went ahead and had the surgery on July 15th of this year. I had my husband by my side as well as family. I only hope that you don't allow her to get to you as I did my friend. It will only hurt you in the end. I am sure that she is jealous and wishes that she could do the surgery. Best wishes to you.

I MADE IT. I AM APPROVED. OMG!!! 2ND HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE. NOW I KNOW I WILL BE HERE FOR MY BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER AND WONDERFUL HUSBAND FOR A LONG LONG TIME! HAPPY DANCE GOIN ON HERE!!!!!

Cheryl, Patience is a hard one. I was at it a year and denied 2 times before my approval. You keep praying and have faith it will take place. If denied, think of it as a setback and appeal. Never give up. I pray it will all work out for you.
