Hi Cheryl !!! Long time no hear !! I'm sorry !!! I sort of got caught up in my new life!! I understand congrats are in order for your upcoming surgery!!!! You will have to let me know how that goes. I have lost a total of 75 lbs with only 25 to go. I think 10-15 of it is excess skin. Maybe we can get together for coffee again. Thanks Tam!!!!

Cheryl, Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with me. I've been a Type 2 for about 7 years and on the maximum dose of 3 different meds. Did you have the Lap. Surgery, if so how painful was it and how long were you out of commission. The last time I saw my PCP he said he never thought he would recommend this surgery, but recently, another Dr. friend of his(an endocronolist) said he had a couple of type 2 patience he sent for it and they had come off all meds. He wanted me to research it, he seemed to think I would benefit and that my insurance would cover it. I saw my mother die with complications of diabetes and it was horrible.

Hello Cheryl! Just finished reading your wonderful post to your "re-birth birthday twin" and thought I would tell you what a special person you are! You took time to wish someone else well who is on the same path and time schedule as you! Hope that all is well. While I missed the surgery date, I will pray that you have a speedy recovery!
