Cheryl, best wishes for your upcoming surgery. I had mine in November 2000, and I have never had a single regret. One thing that may help to remember is that the nervousness is over with when you wake up in the recovery room to your new life.

Hey!! Cheryl I had surgery on August 31 2001 I had my 3month appointment on Dec. 3 2001 and have lost 103lb I feel great I would be interested in your support group meetings I also have several freinds that had and are in the process of surgery we also might need a exercise group it would be great you can e-mail me at chardave@toolcity.net my husband @ family has been super through all this my mom did not approve of this at first either but now she said its the best thing I ever done for everything Dr. friday was the best part of all my confrences I to bought his book good luck with pre opt and keep me posted .God bless. Cheryl, I wanted to wish you good luck on your surgery and hoping a speedy recovery will be your reward. I too am a paitent of Dr. Schauer I will be having my surgery 12/11at Shadside Hospital. I had planned on being a post-op by now but I had a UTI that posponed my surgery of 11/6 so I begin the countdown again...e-mail me if ya wanna chat. God Bless and Take care!

Hi Cheryl My best to you with your upcoming surgery. Your date will be here before you know it! I wish you a speedy recovery. This will be the greatest thing you have ever done for yourself. Please keep us posted
