" I had surgery August 9 with Dr. Almanza and wanted to share with the people who are researching or planning their procedure with Dr. Almanza.I had a really good experience with Dr. Almanza. It's a clinic and it's small but it's clean. I forgot the nurses name but she was excellent! she had no problem taking my blood or starting my IV. I'm hard to start an IV on so I was impressed. She speaks a little english but I was able to get my needs across to her and everyone else that took care of me. My first night I was really sore, because of gas so I was up walking quite a bit in the halls and there was always someone there if I needed something. Every day after I was in less pain and felt better little by little. The guest house was a lot more comfy then the clinic, it's very homey. They have everything you need after surgery.If you are nauseaus or in pain ask for something in your iv because they will not ask you. a couple of girls went without meds because they didn't ask. You should take the meds instead of roughing it. I was a lot more mobile then them because I did have pain medicine. I was only nauseaus after drinking the blue stuff for the leak test. but others were nauseaus a lot after surgery. Everyones different. As long as you don't travel there with the idea that you will be overly pampered and thinking it's going to be some 5 star resort you will be fine. because it's not like that. it's a clean safe place for u to have surgery and start your recovery.I have no regrets."
