I thought i was going to have to wait til July to have my surgery...what a nice surprise! BCBS changed their waiting period from 6 to one month. I already had that in. I was approved and have my surgery date of 4/10/2012. Ms Pistol was right - it went by fast.
I am on my two weeks liquid diet now and am not horribly hating it. I have already lost a few pounds so whenever i get cranky about the liquids i hop on the scale.

Here we go! Last evening, thanks to a comment from a work buddy ... I went to the Davis Clinic for a Bariatric Program Seminar. Very interesting! I am convinced that this is exactly what I need. I had no idea that obesity was a disease - all this time I figured that I had no will power and was a complete failure in the dieting department. Well, I was, but it isn't my fault! I am right on the edge with the BMI, but i have been prescribed meds for: high cholesterol; depression; acid reflux; high blood pressure; massive dosages of D for exhaustion and then there is the the everynight 81 mgs of asprin. I had also been told awhile back that I am on the brink of diabetes. And there is the osteoarthritis - one knee replacement already! Perhaps the BMI won't be an issue.
6 months seems like a long time to wait, but I have been assured by ms pistol that it will go by quickly. I hope so, patience isn't one of my better qualities.
