hello loosers, we all are, and I feel so good being able to say that.
I am 3 1/2 weeks out since the surgery and I've lost 40lbs., This is a process, and an adventure, I'm getting to know my new body and change my brain.
My honey says every day I change, I'm loosing, I'm getting stronger and more confident. For so long I let my weight define me as a person, I'm obese, I'm sick, I have diabetes, high bp, etc. Now, all of that is changing, with the weight loss more and more improvement is noted.
I need to revel in this process, I need to redefine myself as a woman and a humanbeing, and this surgery is allowing me to do that.
I'm so blessed and thankful to have this opportunity.

hello, I'm counting down, I'm so excited. This friday I see the endrocronologist, it will be wonderful to only have two drs. not 5. I am so preoccupied with the surgery, I can't wait to start the journey.

I'm counting the days until surgery day. I am so eager to continue on this journey. Life has been good, but my weight is so much a negative thing. I know I did this to myself, I hate that, but now I know I can loose this weight with the help of this surgery. I want to be the healthiest I can be.

Today my daughter celebrates her wedding, it will be a wonderful day. Positive energy will keep the rain away until tonight. Next yr. at this time I will be of a normal size and it will be wonderful.

Today I went to the behavior group. It was so inspiring, about 12 of us were there,and I couldn't get enough. The leader is an RN who herself lost over 100 lbs, but not thru the surgery, thru diet. She takes a blood thinner so she couldn't have the surgery. It took her 5 yrs and she feels fabulous. I am so excited, Sept. 1 can't come fast enough.

Well, got the call yesterday, and scheduled the surgery, Sept. 1. I'm very excited, I started crying, and just babbled to everyone. Which isn't good because I was in the mall at the time, alone. I'm scared, I wonder if I will miss how I eat, there is so much mental stuff about my eating. I need to start working on this. I'm excited, I'm excited, I'm excited.

Today I headed to Adirondack Med. center, saw the nutritionist and the pa. I'm having the rny, so had to learn about it and the new eating behavior. Then I saw the pa and learned I lost another 3.5 lbs. I'm very excited, the walking is paying off. The next step is a call from the surgeon's office and setting a date for my surgery. I'm hoping it will be late Aug. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Ok, so I have been waiting 8 yrs for this surgery. Finally, I have approval for the gastric bypass. I wanted the lapband, but I can't loose the 5% of weight, so I said, forget that, lets do the bypass, and it was approved. I have an appointment on the 22nd, I'm hoping the surgeon will give me a date, and then....I'll hold my breath until it happens. I need this, I can't do much as far as physical stuff, and I want to. This is for my health, type 2 diabetes insulin dependent, I'm tired of 14 different pills a day, its time to change. People say I don't look my age, I'm going to be 58, but I will when I have the surgery, and you know what, that's ok with me. I am 58, and I'll be a healthy 58.

Hello everyone,
I'm new here, I hope its ok I'm writing.
I went to the informational meeting last week, and I have an appointment with Dr. Hixson Oct. 10th. I'm hoping t his time I can have the lap band surgery. I have a history of bleeding, and the other techniques were not recommended.
I live in Potsdam, NY, work in Malone.
I hope I get to know all of you.
