OK i finally had it .The 10 day liquid diet i lost 25 pounds whoooohooooo . my mother is a godsend she kept me motivated and laughing after surgery and kept me walking and doing everything i was supposed to do. I got discharged on time a lot of other ppl that had the surgery that same day did not, when i was walking every hour on the hour i didn't see no one doing this. The nurses kept me motivated and they were so nice even walking with me most of the time and cheering me on. i am glad i did this i have not had any problems thus far (knock on wood ) iam holding everything dwn and have pretty regular ball movements.

 Iam nervous have not been able to sleep all night stayed up til 2am with my my finally fell to sleep about 230am and alarm was going off at 430am time to get up. I am surprised iam even up to say i only got 2 hrs of sleep i feel well rested. Iam always thirsty when i wake up i almost forgot that i couldn't have any liquids. I am in good spirits i feel a little nervous but anxious.

So this is the night b4 surgery my mother is in town am happy to see her. We have to be at UGH @6am omg that is super early but its well worth it. Today has been another good day had a great time at work and got off early. Don't have much to say but wanted to write something.

Today i went back to work and it has been a great day went by really fast surgery date 9/9/10 iam getting excited! That long weekend was really hard to get thru but I made it. Tomorrow is my last day at wrk and i only wrk 4 hours and my mother comes to town iam soooooo happy about that. After reading a topic on the main forums about ds vs rny i did a lil more research and iam still comfortable with my decision for rny. Well iam off I got another 2 hrs at wrk til I get off ....woooohooooo

 i woke up hungry and mad at the world i feel like a walking zombie i cant do and hang out with friends bc everyone is cooking and bbqin this holiday weekend and i feel i would only be torturing myself  by going. I feel like iam just counting hrs in the day til i have this surgery. I go back to wrk tuesday and will only have 2 days left, i feel like i sound so sad and pitiful. The only time i dnt think about food is when iam  . So that is what imma try and go do to past the time.

OK ...this is the holiday weekend it has been a good day most of the day i have watched movies to keep my mind busy and also washing and folding clothes. I was reading about the DS vs the RNY from my research it gives u more of a normal stomach and allows to eat only a 1/3-1/2 of what u wld normally eat . I think the RNY wld wrk better  for  me bc i have 27 yrs of bad eating habits and my love of all things southern especially food i need the restriction until my mind can catch up.

I have been working a lot of overtime at work and this liquid diet has been rough, but i must admit today has been a really good day. I have a labor day weekend to get though and pray and hope i can make it.  I have had a slight head ache since i started but no asprin. Most ppl at work have been understanding trying not to eat at there desk in front of me I am thankful for that.  My partner has been very understanding and i love her for it because i have been a bit snappy with not having any food. I think the 1st 2 days were the hardest bc i wanted to give up. I must say this website has been a god send i have learned so much.
