A wonderful new grandson arrived on the 15 of Oct. 8Lbs 10 oz. 21 in. Kyle is his name . I was able to travel to be there for his birth, this was the first grandchild where I was able to do that. Thank you God for this wonderful gift.
7 month check in
May 19, 2008
Wow I can hardly believe it's been 7 months since surgery . I've lost 100 lbs. AS OF TODAY and I'm feeling great. I only wish my Dr. was so pleased. He has set a date for me to achieve my total weight loss. I'm not loseing fast enough to please him. I was told it would take 18 months, but my Dr. wants it all off in 3 more months so that my Plastics will be covered on insurance. 50 lbs. in 3 months seems like alot since my loss is only about 5 lbs a week now. I've gone from size 26/28 to a new 14/16 size a better selection of clothes now on the bottom half .But to my husbands delight summer clothes in this size don't have enough fabric in the top . Big boobs are not a blessing at this point and I can't wait to give the old girls new life.Nothing I do changes it. Mow , garden, exercise, drinking only protien no real food. I guess time will tell if I can do it or not. wish me luck I'll need it.
14 days out
Oct 12, 2007
Dropping a whopping 1 1/2 lbs. per day. my Dr. after only 9 days has allowed me to start soft food, scrambled eggs , bean burritos, I was having some trouble with the protien shakes but am doing really well now. The way my surgery was done I don't have to sip, sip, sip, fluids just drink like normal, real easy to get all my fluids by lunch. Anybody else sharing my experience.
Finally over
Oct 09, 2007
Surgery was on Oct.3, scared the dickens out of my husband and kids.
My Dr. sent me to ICU didn't tell my family it was his standard practice. Went home on the 5th and have been making strides forward ever since. I only wish I had been told I would look like the goodyear blimp for a week. The whole bloated thing should have been discussed, couldn't see anything below my breast. NOW THAT'S BLOATED. Keep posting when I have time good luck to all prospsective surgery candidates.

I'm starting to second guess myself ,a year ago i WAS POSITIVE THIS IS WHAT i NEEDED .And now I don't know. It's hard to move some days because of my joint pain, but I find myself thinking that I can survive this way. Anyone else have second thoughts about surgery.
