I finally got approved!!!! My insurance company called on tuesday the 19th of August and told me it was a go!!! I was so happy i cried.  MY girlfriend cried with me at work!! HAHA

My husband and I are both excited and it's like i've been in a dream the past two days.  It's sinking in!!

I called the hospital my insurance referred me to.  St Vincent Charity.  Unfortunately it was after hours so i could only leave a message.  Hopefully they call me back today. 

So for now, i'm still in a dream!!!

I'm really pissed off and frustrated all at the same time.  I've been sitting here waiting on an answer for my appeal from my insurance company for almost 3 weeks (which they said it would be 15 business days) so i emailed my contact at my insurance company and said that my EMPLOYER never faxed in my appeal like she said she would.  So they haven't received it.  I'm mad because i've been sitting here waiting with NO RESPONSE and if i hadn't of checked i wouldn't have known that my employer didn't follow through like she said she did. 



So i faxed it today... 15 business days from now is Sept. 1 so i'm giving them until the 5th of september before i start asking questions again... i'll keep you updated...

I sent in my first request for coverage to get denied, because i forgot to send in a certificate of coverage from my previous insurance.  I since have faxed in my second request (I already had my PCP write a letter of medical necessity.) and it said in the appeal letter i would hear back in 15 days.  Tomorrow August 8th, 2008 will be my 15 day.  I am thinking that they are having a hard time trying to find some reason to deny me this time.  Keep your fingers crossed!! I will blog again when i hear something back!!
