went for my pre-op this past wednesday. so much information! my head was spinning. i'm really excited about monday. i can't wait for everything to begin. right now, i'm super tired, so i'll have to make another post before surgery later.

well, i had my surgery date moved to Dec. 5th because i had not had a second visit with my dietitian. in one way i'm glad because it gives me extra time for recovery (being a teacher, i will have the entire month of december off), but in another way i wish it would have already happened. well, my post op is after thanksgiving, so i'm going to have to watch what i eat during that time. it's all beginning...

I wanted to keep a blog of my journey through this event, so this is as good a place as any. After six months of doctor's visits, driving 3 hours a day to support groups, and making sure I had all of the insurance requirements, I finally got a call to schedule my surgery. My mother has been my major support throughout this process. She had the surgery years ago, and I really think it has improved her quality of life. Now, I just wait to find out times and costs from Cindy at Dr. Johnson's office. I can hardly wait to get this over with and begin fresh.
