DAWN CAREY
I originally had my first Gastric bypass surgery on July 2nd, 2007. During my stay in the hospital I just wasnt feeling to right. My j-tube was bleeding so badly, I ended up having 3 blood transfusions. Finally after that I was able to go home.
The following week I was not to feeling well. My bowl movements where the foulest thing you could imagine. I was also burping up what smelled like poop. Then I proceeded to vomit up blood. So then it was on to the ER. I ended up having obstruction of the bowl, fluid in my abdomine, septacemia. I almost died from that. That is when I went back into surgery to have the gastric bypass all over again because of the obstruction. They had to reroute my instestines. I was on the hospital for 3-4 weeks total with both surgeries. Then I also had a procedure where the stuck a HUGE needle in my abdomine to remove the fluid out. I also had another 3 blood transfusions while I was in the hospital for the second time.
After I got home, I had success ever since then. 3 months post opt, I had lost so much weight in a short period of time, I got gallstones. So once again I had to go back to the ER and then to the operating room. They removed my gallbladder.
Things are great now and I never felt better as I do now. I have so much energy. Even though I had many complications, I still would do it all over again.
