"Thad Boss performed my surgery and I had no issues initially. My surgery was 5/25/2005. In July 2005, I moved to Phoenix, AZ and started a new life. My support group in Phoenix disbanded soon after I joined, so I have been on my own.
In November 2007, I had such a severe stomach ache that I knew something was wrong. I called 911 and went to the hospital where it was determined that my small intestine had herniated near the point of reconnection to my stomach nearly causing my stomach to burst. Dr, Steven Simon of Phoenix, AZ performed the emergency surgery to correct the situation, which required open surgery. I recovered, but have since gained back 30 pounds and am not sure why, although I find I can eat more than before the corrective surgery and get hungry more than before.
I would still have the surgery again because it made a huge positive impact on my life."
