Hi my name is Debbie. I am 41 yrs old, I am married to my wonderful husband Mike and I have two wonderful children, ages 14 and 4. My story is the same as everyone's. I started this life very heavy, at 11 lbs. My WLS journey started over two years ago, I attended the seminar for St. Vincents in Cleveland back in October 2004 only to find out thay my insurance would not pay for the surgery. Shortly after this I was diagnosed with High BP and my Dr. started working with me to lose weight. Needless to say that didn't work for me. I haven't gained anymore in the two years but I haven't lost any either. We now have new insurance, Anthem Blue Access, and they will cover the surgery, Thank God! I will be having the surgery at St. Vincents Cleveland Center for Bariatric Surgery in Cleveland, Ohio. My consult is scheduled for February 22nd.
