"I've had my initial consultation with Dr. Tayiem and was impressed with his knowledge of the bariatric procedures. His credentials show that he has extensive experience with bariatric surgery and he seems to be very concerned that you know the risks and the lifelong changes that will have to be made. The surgery is just the tool and we have to do everything in our power to make it work. The office is small and makes you wonder if you're in the right place but once there you're made to feel very comfortable and the office manager, Schella, is wonderful. She has been very helpful in answering any questions I've had and with working with my insurance company. I'll update more after my next visit with Dr. Tayiem and after the surgery also. Went for my pre-op with Dr. Tayiem on Nov. 22nd and he went over the details of the surgery and his methods to combat complications. I continue to find him to be very knowledgeable. He appears to be extremely cautious and after meeting him the second time I felt very comfortable with my choice of surgeon. My opinion after the surgery has remained the same. Dr. Tayiem is an excellent surgeon and meticulous in his work. He's not a very communicative man but definitely knows his business. So, other than saying his bedside manner may not be the best, I would recommend him to anyone."
