ANGEL ON DUTY UPDATE:I spoke to DEBORAH today.She doesnt know yet if she is being released yet. She has to eat semi soft food and see how she tolerates it before she is released.She had a bowel movement(sorry to be gross).Her blood oxygen level is much better. She said this is a very painful surgery but very doable. She was switched from morphine to demerol.She doesnt like the demerol because it makes her more sleepy and you have to ask for that... Cant just push the button like the morphine..She was having her clear liquids while i was talking to her and doing fine with it...Ill let everyone know if she gets released today later on.. ANGEL ON DUTY NEW UPDATE: I talk to DEBORAH BOKSER this morning.She is in pain and not feeling too good...Her oxygen level is still low and if its still low by monday she will have to spend another day in the hospital...This is due to her asthma and sleep apnea... All supports are still welcome on her surgery page... ANGEL

ANGEL ON DUTY UPDATE: DEBORAH BOKSER had surgery yesterday in the afternoon...She was in alot of pain yesterday and her oxygen level was low due to her asthma and sleep apnea but shes better today...Today she she was a little out of it but holding up a nice conversation...(by the way the nurses will not help you out of the bed you have to do it on your own they only guide you through it)..So the nurse guided her to get out of bed and walking...she did very well!But did get tired fast...She told me to thank everyone for the support they gave she appreciated it very much! Don't undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others, It is because we are different that each of us is special. Don't set your goals by what other people deem important, Only you know what is best for you. Don't take for granted the things closest to your heart Cling to that as you would your life, for without them life is meaningless. Don't let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live all the days of your life. Don't give up when you still have something to give Nothing is really over … until the moment you stop trying. Don't be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect, It is the fragile thread that binds us to each other. Don't be afraid to encounter risks, It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave. Don't shut love out of your life by saying it's impossible to find. The quickest way to receive love is to give love. The fastest way to lose love is to hold on too tightly, And the best way to keep love is to give it wings. Don't dismiss your Dreams. To be without dreams is to be without hope. To be without hope is to be without purpose. Don't run through life so fast that you forget where you've been, But also know where you're going. Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored every step of the way.

Hi Deborah, Well today is the BIG DAY so I know you're not going to be reading this for a little while. Know that you're in the thoughts and prayers of all of us in here - those who've gone through the surgery and those still waiting to. Here's to a speedy recovery and lots of weight loss!! Best Wishes to you Deborah. I want you know that in Dr. Leitman you are in the best hands. I am just about 1 1/2 years out and still, everyday I am amazed out how wonderful this journey has been and how grateful I am to have had this surgery. Good Luck in all. I will be thinking of you tomorrow. :)

Deborah, Good luck tomorrow. I know you are going to do well. It has been great getting to know you these last couple of months. You have been such a supportive friend to me as I went through my own challenges to have surgery. I can't wait to see you on the "other side".

Hi Deborah, It was a pleasure being with you at the support group and dinner afterwards last month. Your life is about to change and we can't wait to see you on the other side. Just think, your portion of the bill will be smaller the next time you join us. We are all cheap dates now!!! Leslie

ANGEL ON DUTY~~~~DEBORAH BOKSER is having surgery TOMORROW!! She is very excited, happy and ready and maybe a little nervous too!She is still waiting to find out what time her surgery is set for.Joan said it might be 12ish.I will be calling tomorrow to see how everything went and then i will be going to see her on friday.I will keep everyone updated on how she is doing as soon as i get back from the hospital.Take a moment and sign her surgery page.
