Hi, I read your post about telling your mom about your upcoming wls. I remember when I told my mom and other family members. Of course the shock of hearing it shook them up. and I heard all the what ifs and you better not. and all their concerns. and I must say hearing them hurt me. But I have a hard head. and I stood my ground. matter of fact I had already started my journey and had already seen my surgeon. I educated them on wls and had my moms support and that's all I needed. she told me " why ask me what I think, you are going to do it anyhow." I smiled at her and told her you got that right. 2 of my kids and my mom was there with me for support. But let me say this, If they weren't there I SURLY WOULD OF STILL HAD MY WLS BY MYSELF. IT WOULDN'T BEEN THE FIRST TIME I HAD MAJOR SURGERY ALONE. LOL anyhow you take care and remember we at obesityhelp will always be here for you. ~*Hugs~*~

I sure remember those feelings..... don't worry they are normal feelings about this stage of the journey....
