Hello again
Jun 04, 2008
It has once again been a while since I posted last.
Back in Nov 2007 I ended up in the hospital for emergency surgery. I was having stomach pain, just like when I was pregnant, so I had Husband take me to Richmond. after 8 hours in the ER, shots of moriphin, contrast die drink, an x-ray of stomach and then cat scan, they found I had a twisted intestine. They prep'd me for surgery right away. When I woke up in recovery Dr. Baggs came in and told me I was lucky to come in when I did and they got the intestine untwisted and the hernia sewed up. He said the hernia was about the size of a softball. needless tosay husband and I were both a little freaked out about this. i went back to the liquid food for two weeks and had to start back at the begining of the eating stages again and lost ten pounds.
I am now doing great. Have gained about 5 of those pounds back and really want to lose them again.
Next month is my three year anniversary and all is good.
The kids are growing wonderful and Darienne graduated Kinder last week. We got her report card yesterday and she meet and exceeded on almost all items they test Kinder's on. so very proud of her.

I'm back

It has been a while since I have posted here. so many things have changed.
I had some issues with the pregnancy. I was not able to gain as much weight as the doctor wanted me to, I was in and out of the hospital with dehydration which caused contractions a couple of times. But the baby was born a week early and he was a healthly 8 lbs 3 oz and 21" long. he ended up taking everything out of me. A week after I got home from the hospital I was already back down to what I was in weight when I got pregnant. It was very hard to breastfeed since I wasn't able to eat as many calories as they wanted me to to produce enough milk. But at least the baby got three weeks of breastmilk.
Since having my son I have been able to maintain my weight at 142. I am comfortable at this weight and my body must think so as well since it isn't even bouncing up and down as it was before. There is still some days where I can't eat chicken as I get a feeling of brick in my stomach. I am thinking it's just the way it's cooked, in the oven.
During the summer I love to eat veggies and find my self not getting enough protein during these months. I need to work on this issue. As i can feel a difference in myself when I don't get enough protein.
I go next week for my two year appointment. I have gotten the results from my lab work and I have one adnormal and on low result. the low result being iron/protein.

Not much new since last post in old format. Today I converted and so far I think I might like this format better. It seems easier.
The pregnency is progressing good. I have my next ultra sound next week. We can't wait to find out what it is. I have been pretty slow and steady on the weight gain so I am hoping that means it will come off pretty easily. I have another 22 weeks to go so we will see. But I plan to hit the gym hard after I have been given the clearance. I want to reach my goal weight again. I have experienced some lower back pain when I find myself needing to have a BM. Not sure if it's from the PG and surgery or what. I will talk with OB on my next appointment. Yes, it is painful some times.
