What's the secret to preventing spitting up?

I'm trying to be delicate about this, but have had a history of vomiting while eating (OK, I do leave the table) despite careful chewing. I've had x rays and have no slippage of my Band, so I'm wondering what tricks or solutions others have found to prevent losing my lunch?
