I first started this journey April 15, 2004. Tax day! I should have known it wouldn't go smooth.
I met with Dr. Canady, Terri, and all the others at Holzer Center for Comprehensive Weight Loss, got the process rolling. Insurance denied surgery. Went to my doctor, did the diet thing for 6 months, reapplied, denied!
Gave up. Went back Jan. 2006 to get back on track. I had 3 grandchildren due, 2 any day, I had to get healthy. I saw Melissa, the dietician, for 8 months. We reapplied for surgery after 6 months but I was afraid to stop going. After a few requests from the insurance company approval was given.
I had my surgery Oct. 26, 2006. So now it begins!
