Sami Hamamji

"First off, I am 1 yr. 2 months post-op. (surgery was May, 04 and I've lost 130 #'s). Dr. Hamamji and the entire office staff are the most caring and supportive people I've ever met. I do not have one negative thing to say. My entire experience has been fantastic. Maybe that's why Dr. Hamamji calls me his "poster child". I thank God everyday for their skills and knowledge. They truly have changed my life. So back to the beginning of my WLS journey.....I originally was with Primecare of Corona, which denied my consultation. They said I didn't meet the "co-morbidities", even though my BMI is 47. go figure! A friend of mine at work that I introduced WLS to got her consultation approved through a different medical group and she didn't have any "co-morbidities". So rather than go through the appeal process, I switched my medical group to St. Joseph Heritage. They are GREAT. I have the support of my new primary physician and had no problem getting the consultation approved. I met Dr. Hamamji at his community lecture in March, 04. He is very thorough and takes the time to answer any of your questions. He addresses the positive aspects of the surgery as well as the risks involved. The program is extensive and thorough. Everyone in his office is really helpful. "
