Barix has submitted my 3 month insurance requirement(s) information to Barix on December 7th. I'm going to be patient since it is the holiday season and I know a lot of people are on vacation, but if I don't hear something by the end of this week I will start making calls next Monday.

Things got a little mixed up with my psych eval - apparently a mis-communication between the therapist who was doing it and myself. Thought she only needed one session - she thought I was coming back. So now the therapist I saw last year is going to complete it for me - another phone call to make.

I try to check the message board often for PA and it is such a source of strength and commitment and really keeps me motivated thru this long, drawn out process.

Doctor's have started submitting their information to Barix so they can in turn submit it to my insurance company. Since my initial weigh-in at Barix I have lost a total of 29 pounds! I'm very pleased about that - it feels good to start getting some of the weight off pre-surgery and I think Dr Boe wanted me to lose at least 10% of my total body weight. Not quite there yet, but maybe by next month.

I'm hoping to have my surgery in January - it still seems like a distant dream. Being on these boards has helped a lot, yet it makes me feel like I'm treading water at times because everyone has had or is having their surgery, and I'm still out here participating but haven't had mine yet and don't know when I will.

Patience is definitely a virtue when going thru something like this...I've found more than I ever thought I had.
