DS and I are leaving for airport in TWENTY minutes for the first leg of our trip to Mexicali to get my lap band. We will spend the night in San Diego at Comfort Inn and be picked up tomorrow at 11 AM for drive to the hospital for preop testing. So happy and excited to be doing this! The post op clear fluids are cooling in the fridge.

I received word today that Dr. Aceves approved me for surgery! I will receive my lap band on January 28 in Mexicali Mexico. Hee Haw!

I filled out the forms for Mexicolapband and emailed them back to Nina for Dr. Aceves to review and hopefully approve. I was also in contact with another clinic in Mexico at this time but preferred to go with Dr. Aceves.

I sent the following to many bariatric centers both in US and Mexico. I received several replies from clinics who would consider me for a lap band.

I would like a lap band. I have researched it quite a bit. My BMI is 30-31. Do you do lap bands on "lower BMI's?"

I watched Discovery Health most of the day about weight loss. Big Medicine brought me to this point when I saw the doctors' sister who looked like me pre op and she had a lap band. If she can have one, I must be able to get one!
