Hang in there Darron. It may not seem like it yet, but the payoff will be worth all the fighting you are having to do now. You are in my thoughts.

5/7/01 I talked with Darron's wife today and he is STILL in ICU! He has had a few problems with blood clots and other stuff. Yesterday while he was bathing he got weak and before he could get into bed he fell. His wife said they assured her he was ok (they did MRI's and X-Rays) and that he could possibly be moved out of ICU tomorrow (Monday). They need our prayers and well wishes. They had to take their son out of school and send him to TX with his Grandma. Darron's wife is due to give birth to their 2nd child in the middle of June and they had anticipated that Darron would be pretty well on the road to recovery by then but the problems he has experienced has slowed that process greatly. They are having a rough time and need our words of encouragment and prayers. Hang in there Darron and Tracie(sp) !!! Melissa Massengill

4/29/01 I spoke with Darron's wife today. She said he is in A LOT of pain. He has had a few problems so he is still in ICU. Had some throwing up, low tolerance to pain, not enough output from his kidneys. She said he was a bit discouraged because of all the pain involved and the problems that arose. He needs our prayers and words of encouragment.

Hey Big D (Your High School Name) I am in shock that I ran across you here. I haven't seen you since High School. I think it is Wonderful that you are on your way to the "thin world" I would like to wish you the very best of luck in this process for you. I hope to be following in your footsteps soon. I would like to get in touch with you once things have settled down from surgery. I think you may be able to help me with some of my questions. I would love to have a copy of the journal you were talking about. I have searched for years for a way to improve my lifestyle and I think I have found it here. I would appreciate any helpful insight you are willing to share with a fellow Kossuth Aggie :) Best of Luck and you will be in my prayers! Your old Classmate at KHS Lisa Massengill
