I had my surgery on February 17th. (Gastric Bypass)
Surgeon: Dr.mark Paya and Dr. Kokkalera @ Northridge Medical Group.
All I can say about my surgeons is tha both are great doctors very professionals.
Todays here I'm seating down after 11 days after surgery and all I can tell is that I feel great.
I started by going 3 days before surgery on a strict liquid diet then the surgery day came.
The morning of surgery we drove from Eagle Rock, California took us 40 minutes to get to the hospital, we waited like 20 minutes before I was taken in to start the IV's and be ready for surgery.
I was reeled to the operating room already asleep, next thing I know I was in the ICU after having some kind of probem
due to my sleep apne I beieve, then I got transfer to my regular room with some kind of pain but not too bad.
Next day I finally had my first meal, chicken broth, jell-o, and tea, I;m not a tea lover but after being some many hrs without food I found that tasted like heaven.
My third day in the hospital and I got visited by Dr. Grosser who is a great family medicine doctor from Northridge Hospital Medical Center, soon after I saw my surgeon to whom I'm very thankful for such a great job and also to his employees from the coordinator, RN and nutritionist they all treated me with respect and made me feel confident at all times.
It's almos mid-day and I'm getting ready to be discharge to go home, I happy because I'm going home with no complications, medicine to have at home in case  get any pain. 
I am not hungry and want to go for a walk.  It was not too far down our road before I had enough, but it felt so great to get outside other than a trip to the Doctor!!

I am so excited about the future and I cannot wait to begin to give away clothes, and start buying me new clothes and ofcourse smaller size, I just want to feel better and improve my health.

If someone ask me about this type of surgery and they are interested on finding more information about it I will tell them to go for it it's nothing to be scared about, just follow dr's directions and in a few months you'll see a new you.
