Well I had my 1st consultation with dietician and the dr this past thursday. It went good. got lots of information. I will be going with what my dr suggested due to how much weight I need to loose and the pain I am constantly in right now he suggested the gasteric bypass. so after talking it over with my husband thats what I decided I am goin with. He said I need to lose 25 to 30 pds before the surgery. The dietician gave me a list of foods I should eat. All in all I liked this dr and the dietician as well. I look forward to my journey all though I know it will be a hard one. But I am determined and once I am I get done with what I need to get done! I decided to start my journey on Jan 1. A new year and beginning a new way of life!!

My dr's office gave me this website so I thought I would check it out and decided to go ahead and sign up for it. I have not had the surgery yet and based on what my paperwork says it will prob be a few mths before I do so. I go for my first dietican appt and consultation with the dr on 12/11. Am I scared? No not really, Am I excited..im thinking yea i am. Fortiontly I do have some knowledge of what I am facing ahead as I have a close friend who have had the gasteric surgery and has had no problems to date and its been about 3 or 4 yrs. But then I have known someone who has died, Someone who has had alot of problems and someone who has had some problems. So it is kinda all over the place. I was thinkin the lap band like some of the forums ive read so far. But with some of what they were saying maybe gasteric is better. I guess thats something to discuss with my dr. I have a long road ahead of me I know. But it is a road to healthy, confidance and better self esteem (even if I do have a wonderful husband who loves me for who I am on the inside and not on the out) If there is anyone out there who has already completed surgery that lives in my town throw me a email.
