"I have two surgeons that I am interested in using, one in network and one out of network. I am on the waiting list to attend the seminar for the in network surgeon. He, Dr. Terry Simpson in Phoenix Az is currently on hiatus. I don't know what is going on with him or if he is still going to be gastric surgery. But I don't want to use the three doctors available in network for BC/Bs PPO. I am not really good at waiting, and need to know if there is anything else I facilitate things. 03/10/03 Just a quick update. My spouse changed jobs! So I am without insurance for the next 90 days. Upon completion of that time, I will start the ball rolling again and find out which surgeons are covered by the new company. I have been dreaming of life without the weight. This waiting game is so hard! Keep on praying and I know it will happen eventually. I will update you all upon comletion. 06/21/04 I went with Dr. Aguirre in Ensenada Mx. It was the best choice I could have made. He has done alot of these surgeries, with few complications. I choose him after doing research on line and realizing that I was looking at a lot of battles with Cigna if I could ever get approved through them. Well, I found Dr A on line, after reading profiles here and checking out his website. We decided that is the way to go! The only negative I would give about Dr A is that his aftercare is non existent. Of course he is in MX, but there is no contact after the surgery is completed unless you contact him with questions. He is always ready to answer them, but if you don't know the questions to ask, you don't get the answers you need. I use this website and my PCP to manage my aftercare along with full support from family and work. I would definately do it again, Thank God I don't have to! Good Luck!"

"It is a small clinic environment with the quality of care you would expect from a large general hospital. It is currently undergoing renovations, thus not real quiet. I was housed in the old section, there was no room available upstairs, but it was clean, well managed and I was well cared for."
