I just talked to Kris for 30 min, and she sounded much better!! She sounds more alert (right up until her meds kicked in LOL) and is asking questions, and got to speak to my little boy on the phone. She even has her sense of humor back. She is still on oxygen today (Sunday) and can't move around to much, but gets 1 oz of jello 3-5 times a day. Yummy! She is sounding great, and I am so proud of her!!

Kristina, I am so glad that you made it to the other side. I am however, sorry that you are having problems and are required to be on oxygen. I will keep you in my prayers and will pray that you are off the oxygen very soon and on your way to a complete speedy recovery. Best wishes to you as you continue on your journey.

Hi, I am Kris' best friend Andrea and she asked me to post a little update for you all. She is a TROOPER! A real star!! Kris had her surgery at 7:45am on Wednesday Aug 27th, 2003. She had some complications due to her asthma immediately afterwards, and is still recovering from that. Today is Saturday and she was able to come home today, but she is on oxygen, and has 2 tanks at home with her. I talked to her on Thursday and she was groggy and drugged...but I got to talk to her for 20 minutes on the phone today and she sounded great. She pulled this off with her usual amazing strength, and is on her way to a new, slimmer, self. She has a follow up appt with the Dr on Tuesday, but she is concerned that she will have to be readmitted to the hospital due to her asthma. She is a bit concerned that they sent her home to early. (So am I...she was sounding wheezy) I just wanted to say Kris, that I am sooo proud of you sweety, you did an awesome job, and I just know you are going to heal up faster than expected!! Rick, Denise, Dylan and I are all so proud of you, and by the time I see you again, I wont be able to pick you out at the airport! I should be able to talk to her again tomorrow. Please keep her in your prayers that she is able to get off the oxygen quickly, and heals up with no more complications!!!! I love you Kris!! Keep your chin up!!! Hugs Andrea

Kristina, congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I pray you will have a speedy recovery and weight loss. What a beautiful place you live in, I have been there before a few times and visited the Brownsville Assembly of God church, it is wonderful. Good luck.
