My name is Jolie. I am 31 years old, not kids, yet..
I live in Texas in the country, my husband and i raise goats and have started raising chickens for the eggs.
We both love animals, we live on 13 acres which allows us to have as many as we want... and also to be the momma to a beautiful horse, Eagle...
We are in the process of remodeling our home. So everything is not where it should be. And that is EXTREMELY frustrating.
Ive Been overweight since jr high. Struggleing to lose weight ever since, i had a few success's, but it never stayed off.
I have two awesome sisters, one older and one younger. My older sister had her lap band last year. She keeps telling me that she would do it again in a heart beat. She is doing good and is progressing at a good pace. She gets frustrated about not losing as much as some people that have had it. I just keep telling her "rome wasnt built in a day" and that is also true about obesity, we didnt gain it over night, and we wont loose it over night.It takes time. But I feel fortunate about her already having the surgery and her telling me different tips that helped her, AND, she let me try samples of her protein shakes, which helps when they cost 30$ a piece and you may or may not like them.. so i feel so lucky about having some good support, I also have the support of my hubby of soon to be 8 yrs this july 8th. He has been so patient and supportive through all this. He's the best.
My mother is supportive, but leary about it... but since seeing my sisters success she has gotten better about it.
Hopefully on this site i will meet several people to keep in touch with and we all can find encouragement in each other!!!
