Hello here is my story I have a huge family .. and we always made sure there was alot of food around enough to feed us all. So there was enough for seconds thirds and fifths :) My mom and dad had a buiness they ran so us kids had take out alot and candy cookies and such. I went on a diet in high school I couldnt be fat there. I hated the name calling. So I went on the eat only once a week deal and walked everywhere and lost about 40 lbs I got weak on that fast. I got married at 18 and had my first son at 19 and gained about 60 lbs. I lost a little after than with the phen phen thing. Then there came baby #2 gained it all back and then 40 lbs and then went on apple cider diet and lost 45lbs and 5 years later had another baby and more weight. My best friend went and had gastric bypass and I was really curious about this surgery at that time. She had it and did well. I had my last child 3 years ago .. I have dieted and dieted so much I really think I know all the diets out there. I did alli and weight watchers and aikens and south beach and starvation and nothing has worked. I learned after the birth of my last son I had tyhroid problems and sheehans syndrome. I cannot lose weight as hard as I try it wont come off. I looked into WLS again and started talking to my Dr and then got some referrals and such. I went to a seminar back in may 2008 and got my first appoinment and then started all the test and had to have a scope done I was scared but it was easy and then played the waiting game and waited and waited. My hubby is in afganistan on a tour right now and he came home on his 2 week leave in july and I was hoping to have surgery then but it was a no go. And now here it is October I got approved last month for surgery I was so happy when I got the call . I cried ! But happy tears. I am soooo ready for this surgery I am ready to be able to run and play with my kids and see my hubby again and be able to not have to take so much medicine and have a healthy happy life.!!!
