Everything today went really smoothly - thanks for all your messages everyone - they meant a lot!
I got home tonight about 7:30 and have been sipping a bit. I walked to the end of the block with my husband and was tired afterward, go figure!
Pain isn't too bad - more discomfort - the ice seems to help. The port area is definetly sore. 
Wow - I can't believe I did it!

I am so ready for this. I spent this evening cleaning and tidying my house. My husband thinks that is so weird but I always do that - before a vacation, before the new school year starts. The only thing I didn't clean was my daughter's room - I was not up for that! It is so comforting to know that so many other folks are out there being so supportive - I have appreciated every message I have received. It means a lot! Thanks! Elinore

I can't believe it is here! We just got back from a lovely vacation at Lake George and now all the changes are going to start tomorrow. I am nervous and so excited!

Well, this has all happened pretty quickly. I first talked about the LapBand with my PCP in May and my date for surgery is August 10. The past two days I have freaked out a bit. I'm afraid I haven't prepared enough or something I guess. I was crying today trying to figure out what to do with my 3 yo daughter on the day of the surgery. I know it will all work out - I have some really nice friends on our block. I just feel a bit overhwelmed at the moment.
