I am 46 years old with 3 grown children. I am on MYSPACE if anyone wants a glimpse of the real me. I have been reading the message boards for a long time but was too timid to join. I'm a little concerned because after the breakup I went on Atkins and lost 70 lbs in 7 months and the skin issue was too depressing. I couldn't stick with it and gained it all back and then some. I know I'll have the same problem with the Lap Band but I will have to learn to deal with it. There won't be any money for plastic surgery for years if ever. I haven't dated in the 4 years since the breakup due to no confidence and the thought that most men dont like short fat middle aged women. I'm all bottom and no top. At this point I only want to feel healthier and have less joint pain so appearance isn't really the issue. I have read a lot of inspiring stories here and that is what gave me the courage to join myself. To be continued............
