4 Weeks ago today- I had my Lap-Band removed and was revised to the Gastric Sleeve. Since surgery I have lost almost 25 lbs! It was the best thing I ever did!

Soooo- 10am as soon as the doctor opened I called to make my last appointment with the Surgon- she said he was there Tuesdays and Thurdays which I proceeded to make my appointment for next Tuesday. After I hung up I realized that today is Thursday and wondered wouldnt he be in the office today...

In conclusion, I have my last surgon appointment today!!!

Ok so I had my last appointment with the surgon- asked him a few questions. They are now sending my predetermination letter out Friday. I was told to call on Tuesday to find out the status. Lets all cross our fingers and hope all goes well. And this whole center of excellence nonsence doesnt interfer with my plans for surgery.... Ive gone so far.

Well today I got my final clearence for the Dr. @ Good Samaritain Hospital in West Islip, NY. I have to call the surgon tomorrow morning to schedule my last appointment and recieve a date. The Dr that I met with today said I was very healthy (suprizingly) and theres no reason not to schedule a date and wait for the paper work to come together in the midst. I am excited.

On another note- I wish I could post date entries on the blog and I would list all the different dates Ive seen doctors and such. For my own organization of course.

Sigh.... 10am tomorrow I will be making a phone call. However, I will be thinking about it till then... Im very excited... I just want a date already.

Today I had my appointment with the Primary Care Physican.... he told me about the percautions of surgery and how annoying insurance companies could be-- however, none of that is discouraging me this time. I really want this... he said he would be sending out my letter to my insurance company and to my surgon... 1 step in the right direction...

Today was my first appointment with the Surgon for a consult- he procedded to tell me about the sugery and it ended up with me telling him about the surgery. I have been looking into this for the past 2 years. My ex boyfriends whole family had the surgery including him- its my turn!
