Not looking good for surgery :(

I went to my initial meeting with the surgeon on Friday and he isn't sure if me having surgery is the best idea. My intestines were twisted and I had to have surgery when I was 13 (I am 35 now). He is wanting me to see if I can gather any records from the surgeon so that he can see exactly what type of surgery I had. I called the hospital and they only keep 10 years of records. I am going to call the surgeon's office on Tuesday to see if I can get anywhere there.

May have to reschedule initial appointment

Ugggh! I am so frustrated with myself! i just completed my registration for my appointment on the 22nd. I also just read that I should have completed my online registration two weeks prior to my appt. I am going to call tomorrow to see if I need to reschedule, hopefully I won't have to but I am preparing myself.

Orientation and 1st appointment

Went to orientation today and the earliest appointment I could get is May 22. There is an online registration that I have to complete and then I can call to be put on the cancellation call list. Basically if someone cancels they will move me up further on the list. I am filling out my registration and being out on that list!
One of the ladies that was scheduling the appointments asked me if I understood that for Tricare I need to be at least 100 pounds overweight! Apparently, she didn't think I met the criteria! She had one of the nurses weigh me and get my height to make sure. She didn't want me to show up to my first appointment only to be told that I don't qualify. Of course I know I meet the criteria but it made me feel good!
I think I am going to like working with them!!!

I am just starting my journey. My PCM put in my referral on March 23. I have military insurance so I was prepared to have everything done at our military hospital. When I called on the 25th I was told that I was being referred to a civilian doctor 
. I was fine with being seen at the military hospital but I prefer to see a civilian. I received my referral letter on April 3rd and called to register for my orientation which is on April 21st. I have a work friend who is also going through the same process but through a different doctor.
