Well, when did I get fat, let me see? I think the word womb sounds right, but
then I guess it was more like grade school. I took my first prescription for
speed back in 1975, and lost about 30 lbs after working myself to death
riding a bike everyday, and sticking to a 1000 calorie diet for about 6 months.
I started cheating and that was enough of that. I was married in 1976 and had two babies back to back in 77-79 so the weight came on big time.

In 1982, I decided to go with a new procedure called stomach staplingVBG and
that worked for about 8 months. I lost 100 lbs. until I stretched out the
pouch, not to mention 3 months out I had to be cut open again to remove the
gallbladder that was in good shape when they first went in. I still today
have problems with dumping usually 20-30 minutes after I eat. Does not
matter what I eat I have to go and I do mean go. No going shopping after I
eat unless there is a bathroom close by. I really am praying once I get
the revision done they can correct what is causing this. As I said, it does not
matter if I eat low-fat, sugar, or protein; I get the dumping. So hope that
will at least come to an end, or at least cut down on it.

I live in Conroe, Texas, which is about 50 miles north of Houston. I will
turned 53 in May, married for 26 yrs and have three children. Two by birth, and the youngest was adopted at birth. She is now 17 and like all 17 year-old-girls thinks it is ALL ABOUT HER!!  Usually it is LOL !!  I work at the church my husband and I pastor as a wedding coordinator. I have three adorable grandchildren, two boys, one girl. My oldest daughter is in the process of looking to adopt again as my grandaughter is adoped and so I hope to get another grandchild soon.
As I stated I have been married to my dh for 26 years and he is the greatest. He works at a senior home and pastors a small church in our home town.. He supports me in ever area of my life and is all for me getting the surgery if that is the road I want to take. We first met when I had lost the 100lbs from the stapling. I have since put that back on and more. He has always been a rock for me and supports me in everything I do. My best friend!! He has concerns about my weight and how it effects my everyday life and he has concerns about the surgery. However, his faith is strong; and he knows things will be okay.
He does the preaching and I lead the worship in our church. I love to sing. I guess it is what I do best, although I could not win American Idol. I love to help people worship God when they come to his house. It is fun to just have fun and see people uplifted when they leave. Music makes a difference in the lives of people, and I am blessed I can help by singing. We believe we have the best congregation any church could want.

That is my life right now in a nutshell. There is more, but I live in today not the past, so I look forward to what tomorrow brings my way  GOD BLESS!!!!
