SO I had RNY on 9/18/08  had the battery of tests beforehand....Ekg,chest x-ray,echocardiogram,tons of blood tests.....when I got to the hospital started the IV took me to surgery which was about 3 hours got to my room and over the next 2 days got about 6 heparin shots in my belly to prevent blood clots. I was given pain medicine  which really helped. I also have a drain in for 1 week to get any junk that shouldnt be there out. I was walking the next day in the halls they even had to tell me to slow down lol.........It feels sooooooo much better when you walk.I know its hard to believe but it is. I had surgery on Thursday and came back to the office on Monday. i feel great I am on no pain meds since Saturday morning just a little sore like I did too many situps.
