My date has been changed!

My surgery date has been moved back one day!! My new date is May 27, 2009!! When the office first called and said they needed to make a change I thought OH NO! I was afraid it was going to be a longer wait but now a day early. Yippee!!

Hello! This blog thing is all new to me so here I go....
I am a 42 year old female from Maine and have been overweight most of my adult life. I have tried several types of diets and if I was lucky enough for one to work, I'd just gain everything back plus more. I'm ready for a change.
I have gone through the program and have had an appointment with the surgeon. I am planning to have gastric bypass. This week I was approved by my insurance company. I have a surgery date of May 28th!! I'm nervous but I'm ready.
I know quite a few people who have had this surgery or are planning to have it. They have shared thoughts, stories, comments. I want to hear it all, the good and the bad.
