Set Back #1
Jan 02, 2009
I have numbered this set back because I know there is more to come. I finally finished my 6 month PCP weigh in and faxed everything to the office for insurance submission. Well, I got a call. The psychologist thought that I was too anxious. i have to admit, after sitting in the office for 3-4 hours and needing to ge home to do a thousand and one things, you somehow become a little anxious. i have to see him again and "express some feelings" then allow him to decide if the timing is right. He did say I was a good candidate, but needed to calm down....That sucks. However I take everything with a grain of salt, it's coming if it's meant to be. So now the waiting process begins again.
Oh, by the way....HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hi OH Family. Merry Christmas to you all.
Well tomorrow's my final weigh in with my PCP then I can submit my papers for insurance approval. I know with the holidays and the business closings, it will be January before I hear anything back, but that's just a hop, skip, and a jump away. I am definitely Fit2BFine in 09
and awaiting anxiously until the day comes. My husband's Christmas party is tomorrow night, so this week I had some shopping to do.......HOW DEPRESSING, but it was also my motivation. I can not wait to try my dress on next year to see what it looks like.
I will keep you all updated on the next couple of weeks, maybe my next post will say ,,I HAVE A DATE. Bye Fam.

Hi O.H. family, Hope all is doing well. So here's my update. I'm finaly rounding home base. I do my final weigh in this month and then it's time to WAIT FOR INSURANCE APPROVAL
.
I gained a pound on my 5th PCP visit ( I think it was bloating), regardless, it's still a pound. I am so ready to have this surgery. I need help; I have tried to cut back on some of the things I eat. My dietician said I drink more calories a day than I eat, so I cut back on my drinking....I feel like I'm dehydrating.
Also, I have been trying to hype my husband up about the surgery, all he says is that he'll have to work extra hours for new outfits, I tried to convince him that it wouldn't be that many extra hours
Anyway, I'll keep you all posted on my final weigh in and what my insurance says.... Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Psych Evaluation
Nov 07, 2008
Hi Everyone!!
Well I went to have my psych evaluation on yesterday, and surprisingly I'm not crazy(at least on paper). I am however anxious and worrisome according to the doctor.
I took my hubby with me and he was tickled pink when the doctor asked me if I was ever mean or feisty with him. I try my best to be as nice as I can, but stress is like.....
Anyway, I got the go ahead for the surgery. He thought it would be a good thing for me, so only 1 month to go before I can submit my insurance.
I am SOOOOOOOOO ready.

Hi Everyone.
Just a little update. I had my appt for my nutrition assessment and believe it or not, it wasn't boring at all. I learned a lot about what I should and should not eat and also had a lot to go home and think about. I know this may sound corny or undedicated, but this Lap Band procedure is a BIG deal. You really have to sit down and ask yourself " hey am I really ready to change the way I eat?" Don't look at me surprised, we all have our faults and mine is the fact that I love food. With this Lap Band, I can't eat what I want to eat. I really need to know if I am good with that, so to test myself. If I can not lose at least 4lbs by my next visit by following the diet plan we discussed, I am probably going to reconsider the surgery. I am terrified that I am going to fail at this and for the sake of my family and myself FAILING IS NOT AN OPTION.

Nutrition and Psych Evals
Oct 03, 2008
Today I made appointments for my nutrition assessment and my psych evaluation. It almost seems too real now, as if I were rounding out at the finish line. Time is drawing near. I have exactly 2 months before I finish my 6 month PCP weigh ins and I can submit my info to the insurance company. After 3 long years of hoping, prayer, and contemplating.......It's almost over.
