Okay so my doctor turned on me last week.
She advised in my last visit that she does not support me having the surgery; she wants to put me on some medication and wants me to focus on watching my eating and working out, rather that having my stomach resectioned or having some band in my stomach. I keep trying to get her to understand that I am not saying I can't lose weight..; I can and have done so many times in the past. What I am saying is that I can not keep it off!
So I left her office and switched PCP's. I can not keep doing this anymore. If I can not get this PCP to help me I am going to check out some other options to finance this procedure.
What a set back!!!

Well, I finally got my doctor on board:) I went to the seminar last week and fax all my paperwork over today. I have to complete the Sleep Study, EKG, Echo, and Pys Eval and my requirements will be complete. My PCP is very supportive and I will pick up my letter of recommendation next week. I think these are going so smoothly for me because I kind of know what to expect from my insurance company. My sister Lesa, has just had her surgery and it took awhile for approval because there were so many test that she needed and rather then let her know all at once it seems that she was advised of what she needed.., one test at a timeJ I have a personal goal to have my approval my May and a surgery date for June. Yes, I know this is a very aggressive date. It is just a personal goal. Also, it keeps me from dragging my feet.
