"I met with Dr. Allen yesterday. He, like all of his staff that I have delt with, is very nice, professional, and knowledgable. He explained the different types of surgery that he offers and the risks associated with each and answered ALL the questions I had. He did not seem rushed despite me being there as the last appointment of the day. He spoke to me at the level of understanding that was appropriate for me. I feel very confident in his abilities. He even displayed a great sense of humor that was reassuring. The only negative I see is that it took forever to get in for the first appointment. Okay, so now I am on "the other side". Dr. Allen is AWESOME. I was in the hospital for 8 days and he came and sawme EVERY day, even when he had told me not to expect him and he would be sending one of his partners in to see me, I saw the partner and him!!! At my 2nd post op visit I was upset and crying because I had not lost as much as I thought I should have. He was very patient with me and sat down and showed me the graph that they had plotted for my weight loss and that I was ahead of where they had expected me to be. He still takes the time to answer every question I ask and the last visit my son went with and he answered my son's questions too! I don't think I could have chose a better surgeon if I had interviewed thousands of them!!!"
