Hi Jason...it is your mom here. I know you must be excited....I know I am! You are scheduled for 10/20/09! You know you have a good support group....my, having had RNY in 2004, your sister having had RNY 2005 and your brother-in-law...having had RNY in 2007! We all have been through what you are about to begin. No one will say it will be easy....but we all have said "it was worth it." You will feel so much better....be able to buy clothes off the rack....be able to be more active and even resume the sports that you love....football and baseball. You will be able to do so much without feeling drained....you will WANT to do so much! We all know the risks involved...but you know you are in good hands with Dr. O. He will take good care of you. And I will take good care of you when you get home. Be ready for a new beginning. I am proud of you and you know that I will be there for you. Jason....as the saying goes "I will see you on the thin side".....relax.....allow yourself to heal.....I love you. Mom
