Not much of a blogger
Oct 13, 2009
Anywho, I am very excited by my progress. I am now in a size 12 pant! I began this journey in a size 18 / 20 W. It is still difficult to look at my reflection and accept/see a normal size person. I know this is common. But somehow it seems like such a personal issue.
I still would like to take about 30 more pounds off. My scale is broken so I have not weighed in about a month. I kind of like this. I was a little obsessed about the scale.
OK, this is 4 paragraphs more than I would ever write. :)
Ciao

How I arrived here
Jan 12, 2009
I have been considering weight loss surgery for approximately a year now. I have researched and read about all the options. After speaking with my Primary Care Doctor she recommended me to Dr. Hamn.
I have attended seminars with a couple of friends and listened to the pre and post operative stories and experiences.
Now it was time to make a decision for myself. I met with Dr. Hamn twice. Within 30 days I decided to proceed, scheduled my pre-op test and surgery.
I have decided to have the Gastric Sleeve WLS. I feel that it is the right solution for me. I am nervous and excited at the same time. This will be the first time I have had a surgery other than a shot of cortosone near the spine and sciatic nerve for swelling in my legs and ankles and pain in my legs.
I have a wonderful, supportive husband and friends. I look forward to my new lifestyle.
Ciao for now.
